Netgear's CeBIT line-up
1st March 2010.
Netgear has announced it's line-up for CeBIT 2010, and in no particular order you have...
• It's here! You can finally connect your PS3 to your home network using wireless N. Yes indeedy, 802.11n via the Netgear WNCE2001 WiFi Internet Adapter. Full details are available here. But be warned you'll want to hide the adapter behind the telly - it's not the smallest.
• two new ReadyNAS solutions, mainly for medium/large enterprises, the rack-mounted ReadyNAS 3100 and 4200 provide high performance data storage with integrated replication and backup options. More info here.
• the Powerline AV 500 Adapter Kit (XAVB5001) and AV+ 500 Adapter Kit (XAVB5501), are the two latest powerline networking solutions. The AV500 is small, Netgear are claiming smaller than a deck of cards, but fully spec'd adapter conforming with the draft IEEE P1901 powerline standard. The AV+ 500 is the same, but has a pass-through capability allowing you to continue to use the plug socket as a normal plug socket. Handy.
• And last but not least, video streaming can now be delivered around your home using the High-Performance Wireless-N HD Home Theater Kit (WNHDB3004). Netgear are claiming some impressive figures for this, so it should be able to handle HD streaming with ease. http://www.netgear.com/HDWiFi
