TalkTalk Essentials

If you're a customer of TalkTalk Essentials and they are your internet service provider (ISP), then you've probably been sent their standard wireless router the D-Link DSL-2640R.

TalkTalk is now the 2nd largest broadband provider in Britain. Their service is available in two flavours: Pro and Essentials.

TalkTalk provides its users with this free ADSL2+ modem router. They have previously used various modem routers including the Netgear DG834G, the Huawei EchoLife HG520b/s, and the Philips SNA5630/05 / SNK5630NS/05.

As these are all wireless G routers the power and speed of them are lower than the latest generation modem routers, so you may experience wireless drop-outs or slow service. Try using our router wizard to find a wireless n router that will help solve these issues.
